core score logocorescoreDREAM Wellness is proud to provide our community with the newest, cutting-edge technology to quantify the health of your nerve system based on important parameters.  This state of the art instrument objectively evaluates patterns of spinal and nerve function utilizing three different technologies; and it is non-invasive and pain free. In addition to guiding the doctors’ initial recommendations for care and monitoring the progress of care, the readings obtained by this technology  can boil down these battery of tests to just one number that represents your neurospinal health–your COREscore. At DREAM Wellness, we provide the following procedures:

Pulse Wave Profiler:

core score1 (7)The Pulse Wave Profiler (PWP) helps the doctor to determine your overall ability to adapt to the environment.core score1 (6) It does this by looking at the timing of your pulse, and determining the balance and tone of your nervous system. This exam is known as heart rate variability. Proper balance and tone are associated with better adaptability and a healthy lifestyle. Low heart rate variability is associated with aging, anxiety, inflammation, foggy thinking, fatigue and poor heart health. Published research has shown that chiropractic adjustments have a beneficial effect on heart rate variability.

Thermal Scan:

core score1 (5)The Thermal Scan is used to assess the part of your nervous system that helps to control your organs, glands, and bloodcore score1 (4) vessels; the autonomic system. The instrument does this by precisely measuring differences in temperature along the spine. Since proper function of your organs, glands, and blood vessels is essential to healing and living well, this test gives your doctor a ‘snapshot’ of how this portion of your nervous system is working and how it is responding to care.

Surface EMG:

core score1 (3)

The Surface EMG exam evaluates the function of the muscles that support your spine. These muscles are controlled bycore score1 (2) nerves. This test shows the pattern of how energy is distributed through these muscles. Too much “nerve energy” being fed to the muscles can cause them to tighten or spasm (and too little can cause them to weaken).  This test will let us know if you have the correct amount of nerve flow feeding these muscles and if it is equal on both sides. The exam helps identify areas and patterns of abnormal tension and stress.  This is a great way to determine if an issue is a muscle problem only or a neuromuscular problem (which means the nerves are involved also)!
