First Two Visits
Entrance Forms
Upon entering our office our Office Coordinator will greet you and welcome you as a member of our family. We will request you fill our New Member forms. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself, your lifestyle and your motivation for visiting us.
Consultation
Next you will have a consultation with one of the Chiropractors to discuss your health-related questions and concerns, as well as potential options for care. Your first visit is designed for our team to learn more about you, your body and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, the doctor will take a complete history and perform an appropriate chiropractic examination, which may include but not be limited to a Surface EMG exam, Thermographic Evaluation, range of motion evaluation and posture analysis. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
X-Ray Studies
Your specific case may require us to take x-rays or send out for a full evaluation. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective care plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Opportunities
The first visit is about collecting information. The second visit is about educating you about how we can help you have utilize your nerve system optimally. Once all the information and examinations have been performed, the chiropractor will give you a "report of opportunities" to answer the four most popular questions:
- What could and should be working better?
- Can you help?
- How long will it take?
- How much will it cost?
After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, your Chiropractor will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If we believe we can help you, we will recommend an appropriate care and a wellness program.
Adjustment
After accepting care on the first or second visit, you may be provided with your first adjustment! The care is interactive with you so you can express any concerns you have about the style of adjustment you will be most comfortable with.
